Con m\u00e1s de 102 millones de habitantes,\r\nEtiop\u00eda es el pa\u00eds sin acceso al mar m\u00e1s poblado del mundo y la\r\nsegunda naci\u00f3n con mayor poblaci\u00f3n del continente africano.<br><br>\r\n\r\n<strong>Aves y huevos<\/strong><br><br>\r\n\r\n\r\nLa producci\u00f3n av\u00edcola se encuentra en Etiop\u00eda en una fase de\r\ndesarrollo rudimentaria. La \u00faltima estimaci\u00f3n de la poblaci\u00f3n av\u00edcola\r\net\u00edope supera los 60 millones de aves, de los que los pollos\r\nnativos suponen en torno al 94,33% (CSA, 2016). <br><br>\r\n\r\nEl resto de las aves son cruces y pollos ex\u00f3ticos propiedad de granjas familiares\r\nmejoradas y granjas comerciales respectivamente. El consumo de\r\nhuevos en Etiop\u00eda se sit\u00faa en los 0,5 kg per c\u00e1pita al a\u00f1o, mientras\r\nque la vecina Kenia tiene una tasa de consumo anual de 1,9 kg per\r\nc\u00e1pita. La media africana es de 2,3 kg, frente a 9,2 kg en Asia, 11,4\r\nkg en Am\u00e9rica y 12,7 kg en Europa. El gobierno et\u00edope, en\r\nreconocimiento de ello, ha puesto un gran \u00e9nfasis en la avicultura\r\ny fijado objetivos ambiciosos para su desarrollo.<br><br>\r\n\r\nParte de ese plan de acci\u00f3n fue la feria av\u00edcola Ethiopex celebrada en Addis Abeba\r\ndel 18 al 21 de octubre de 2018. LOHMANN y Aviagen as\u00ed como\r\nBig Dutchman compartieron un stand en la feria con el objetivo\r\nde ofrecer a los granjeros av\u00edcolas interesados una \u00abparada \u00fanica\r\n\u00bb en la que obtener toda la informaci\u00f3n necesaria.<br><br>\r\n\r\nEl stand fue todo un \u00e9xito y numerosos granjeros a peque\u00f1a escala, pero tambi\u00e9n\r\ngerentes y propietarios de granjas con 70.000 ponedoras o\r\nm\u00e1s, aprovecharon la ocasi\u00f3n de discutir aspectos t\u00e9cnicos de su\r\nnegocio.
