The theme for this\r\nevent was \u201cManagement &#038; the Latest Innovations at LTZ\u201d. The first day was officially opened by Javier Ram\u00edrez, Managing\r\nDirector of LTZ with a multifaceted presentation of photos of layers worldwide.<br><br>\r\n\r\nHis intention was to make clear that there\r\nare already many factors in the rearing of\r\npullets which have an influence on the\r\nlater success of egg production.<br><br>\r\n\r\nThis was followed by a presentation by\r\nDr. Michael L\u00fcke (LTZ) with the focus on\r\neconomics in egg production. He concluded that you have to take targeted feeding into consideration for performance and\r\negg quality. The technical service team of\r\nLTZ will continue to assist our customers\r\nby capturing and analysing biological and\r\neconomic data thereby offering our customers a 360 -degree service and supporting them even more.<br><br>\r\n\r\nIn his presentation \u2018\u2019Trouble Shooting\u2019\u2019,\r\nDr. Hans-Heinrich Thiele (LTZ) spoke about\r\nlocating and solving problems on the\r\nfarms and illustrated this by two frequently\r\noccurring deficits: low egg weight at the\r\nbeginning of the laying period and a light\r\nbody weight (both in comparison to the\r\nstandard). In his presentation, Farhad Mozafar (LTZ) reported about the current situation of egg production in the countries of\r\nIran and Afghanistan. The support in planning and implementation of special projects by LTZ was shown in these examples.\r\nProf. Dr. Rudolf Preisinger (LTZ) made a\r\npresentation on \u2018\u2019Where is the biological\r\nlimit\u2019\u2019. He emphasised that LTZ aims to\r\nachieve a continuous increase of the performance period which is directly related\r\nto egg quality and shell strength.<br><br>\r\n\r\n\r\nOn the second day, the spotlight turned on\r\nthe host country: \u201cThe sales and distribution of chicks and organic eggs in Austria\u201d\r\nwas the subject of the presentations by\r\nWalter Schropper (Schropper GmbH) and\r\nManfred S\u00f6llradl (Gefl\u00fcgel GmbH). This\r\nwas followed by an interesting presentation of the in-Ovo sexing with the possibilities of Endocrinological sex determination (Prof. Dr. Almuth Einspanier, Leipzig) \r\nand the Spectroscopic sex determination\r\n(Priv.-Doz. Dr. rer. Nat. Hab. Gerald Steiner,\r\nDresden).
