The path day-old\r\nchicks travel from door to door?\r\n\r\n<strong>The LOHMANN Logistic <\/strong>Team has, of\r\ncourse! The result is a focused presence everywhere in the world as\r\nthis is potentially the most risky part of the\r\njourney for the chicks you have ordered and\r\nan essential element of being able to safely\r\narrive at the destination from A or B or C.\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2>Support from hatchery to farm<\/h2>\r\nIn recent years, the global situation regarding avian influenza has increasingly forced\r\nus to discover new ways of supplying our\r\ncustomers from our existing or new sites.\r\nThe team worked out new gateways\r\nbut also came across new difficulties such\r\nas third parties who are involved in the process but lack sufficient knowledge of poultry, as well other challenges. The team took\r\non a proactive role and used their expertise\r\nto smoothly support the route from the hatchery to the farm.\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2>Knowledge and presence improve\r\ntransport<\/h2>\r\nPreviously, routine flights were booked by\r\nhead office. Now, however, this process is\r\ndone from a mobile office so that all the\r\nstakeholders around the world are involved\r\nas active participants. The links in the chain\r\ninclude our experts at airports, warehouses,\r\nairlines, transport companies, veterinary\r\nauthorities and our customers &#8211; all with the\r\ncommon aim of improving the knowledge\r\nlevels of everybody who is involved in transporting and handling our day-old chicks.\r\nYou may meet one of us next time\r\nwhen your <strong>LOHMANN<\/strong> chicks arrive at the\r\nairport or your farm.\r\n\r\n<h2>Needs of the chicks<\/h2>\r\nWithout information, other people cannot\r\npossibly know the precise needs of chicks,\r\nthe issues that have to be considered before, during and after transport and the\r\nall-important environmental factors such\r\nas ventilation, temperature and humidity.\r\nFrom our position in the poultry sector, we\r\nhave to supply this information. In a highly critical transport process, we work with\r\npartners who, for 90% of the time, normally\r\nhandle other, non-perishable goods. These\r\npeople need to be trained and given increased awareness of the sensitive needs and\r\nhabits of livestock in transit.
