Jul 17 LOHMANN SCHOOL 2017

From 08th until 12th May our LOHMANN SCHOOL took place in Cuxhaven. 39 participants from 23 countries followed our invitation and joined the seminar. Our technical service team prepared an interesting and informative program for our guests who should benefit much from the one-week training.

Commencing with a common welcome dinner on Sunday evening, the participants had the chance to get to know each other before the seminar program started the next morning.

On Monday, different speeches were held on “Housing & Brooding”, “Rearing Management”, “Production Management” and “Hatching Egg Handling”.

On the second day the thematic focus was on Feeding, Feed Formulation and Water. In addition to handling technical issues, we also made sure that ‘fun & leisure’ did not fall too far behind. Therefore, we organized a trip to our neighbor city Bremerhaven in the afternoon. Everyone had some free time for sightseeing or shopping.

Our Vets took the lead on Wednesday and talked about “Vaccination of PS & Commercials” and “Important diseases in the modern layer industry”. In order to deepen the knowledge on the recurrent topic of “Hygiene & Biosecurity”, we prepared a combination of presentation and workshop. In the evening, the sweet singing voices of the participants were put to the test during our Karaoke session after a common dinner.

Thursday, as last day in Cuxhaven, was not really fixed on one topic. The participants got information on “Production Management”, “Poultry Red Mite”, “LOHMANN Genetics and Breeding”. Moreover, our program “Flockman4you” was introduced and our guests could acquire some practical experiences. Finally, our managing director Mr. Ramírez closed the meeting with his presentation on LOHMANN in general. The following social dinner, during which the certificates of attendance were handed over, rounded off the last seminar day.

Next morning the group started to an excursion to Big Dutchman. Afterwards, the group went to Bremen where everybody could terminate the stay by some free time for shopping, sightseeing or just relaxing.

It gives us great pleasure to conclude that this year’s LOHMANN SCHOOL was once again a successful event!
