Bounty Farms celebrates 25 years of partnership with LOHMANN – From 5,000 PS Chicks to Southeast Asia’s Largest Parent Stock Customer

Poultry News
Bounty Farms marked its 25th anniversary of partnership with LOHMANN BREEDERS in 2024 in Cebu, Philippines, a milestone that reflects its journey from a modest family farm to one of Southeast Asia’s leading layer producers. This long-standing collaboration has contributed significantly to the development of modern layer production in the Philippines, and LOHMANN is proud to have supported Bounty throughout this remarkable growth.

The partnership began in the early 2000s with 5,000 LOHMANN Parent Stock day-old chicks. Today, Bounty stands as LOHMANN’s largest Parent Stock customer in Southeast Asia, demonstrating how our cooperation has expanded and strengthened over time.

A Journey Rooted in Humble Beginnings

Bounty’s journey shows an impressive transformation, starting from a small backyard flock in Bantayan in the 1960s. With the introduction of LOHMANN LSL CLASSIC, and later LOHMANN LSL – EXTRA and newer generations, productivity climbed continuously, from roughly 350 eggs per hen in the 1990s to nearly 500 eggs per hen today, supported by ongoing improvements in LOHMANN layer genetics.

From 200 Eggs to 500 Eggs — A Genetic Revolution

This dramatic improvement reflects both LOHMANN’s genetic progress and Bounty Farms’ commitment to top-tier management and innovation.

More Than Performance — A Shared Vision for Sustainability

At the recent Bounty Poultry School in Cebu, participants gained new insights into how LOHMANN’s genetics contribute not only to productivity, but also to lowering the carbon footprint of animal protein. Producing 100 grams of protein from eggs requires significantly fewer resources compared to cattle, demonstrating how efficient layer genetics contribute to sustainability goals.

LOHMANN BREEDERS congratulates Bounty Farms on 25 years of successful collaboration.

The path from 5,000 chicks to regional leadership reflects a partnership built on strong management practices, strategic vision, and reliable genetic advancement.
