OUTSTANDING FIELD PERFORMANCE CONFIRMS THE STRENGTH OF LOHMANN LSL-LITE

Lohmann Genetics
Field results from Norway clearly demonstrate the outstanding performance and reliability of LOHMANN LSL-LITE under commercial production conditions. Across the full laying cycle, the flock performance not only met but consistently exceeded the standard, highlighting the excellent genetic potential and adaptability of this variety. All figures presented are based exclusively on non-cage flocks. All evaluated flocks were hatched after 1 August 2024, representing the latest figures currently available in Norway. The results reflect the performance observed within the evaluated production period. The production curve shows a strong and fast production start, followed by excellent persistency at a very high level. Even in later stages of the cycle, lay performance remained stable, supporting sustained egg output and long productive lifetimes.
Egg weight development was highly consistent and closely aligned with the standard, providing reliability for grading and market requirements.
This stability is a key advantage for producers seeking predictable performance and steady product quality over time.
In addition, excellent liveability throughout the entire cycle underscores the robustness of LOHMANN LSL-LITE. Low losses and stable health performance confirm the breed’s suitability for a wide range of different commercial environments and contribute directly to economic efficiency.
The most convincing indicator of overall performance is the cumulative egg output.
With 378.6 eggs per hen housed at 78 weeks, the actual results exceeded the standard by almost 9 additional eggs per hen in the desired eggweight range, delivering a clear economic benefit for producers. Reliability must come along with repeatibility and this is what these figures show, since this is the final results of not only one flock, but from 65 independent flocks in several different locations and housings.

Norway has just started the transition to prolonged production cycles from 78 weeks in the past.
As performance trends indicate continued persistency, we expect that a total production of more than 500 eggs per hen housed at 100 weeks will be easily achieved.

A Reliable Choice for Sustainable Egg Production

These results from Norway once again confirm that LOHMANN LSL-LITE combines:
High and persistent egg production Stable and flat egg weight curve Excellent liveability Superior lifetime performance

LOHMANN BREEDERS proves to be a realiable market-driven partner for modern egg production across Europe.
